The number of millionaires resident in the country increased by 85 thousand 765 in 10 months and reached 287 thousand 785. The total deposits of these people rose to 1 trillion 924 billion 927 million lira.

In the said period, 796 billion 991 million lira of the deposits of resident millionaires were in local currency, 1 trillion 65 billion 796 million lira in foreign exchange deposit accounts, 62 billion 140 million lira in precious metal deposit accounts.

The average deposit per resident millionaire was calculated as 6 million 689 thousand TL.

According to BRSA data, the number of foreign depositors reached 34,440 as of the end of October. While the number of millionaires abroad increased by 11 thousand 19 people compared to the end of 2019, the amount of money in their accounts reached 136 billion 570 million lira.

Deposits of depositors residing abroad in banks consisted of TL 17 billion 167 million in local currency, TL 117 billion 809 million in foreign currency and TL 1.6 billion in precious metal deposit accounts.

The average deposit per millionaire resident abroad was calculated as 3 million 965 thousand TL.
