Famous espionage novel author John le Carre, known for his works telling the Cold War, passed away. His family announced that the famous writer died of pneumonia at Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Johnn Geller, his representative for many years, described John le Carre as “the undisputed giant of English literature”.
Geller said, “He described the Cold War era and spoke the truth fearlessly for years to come. I lost my mentor, my inspiration, and most importantly, a friend. We will not see anyone like him again.”
WHO IS JOHN LE CARRE?
The Departed name in Turkey known for its famous Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy scenario of the film was adapted from the author’s book of the same name. Apart from that, 12 more works of the author were adapted for cinema, television or radio. The famous author’s books have been translated into many languages.
